Here’s an obvious subliminal message in the clip of Rihanna entitled “Umbrella”.  It’s one of these messages the entertainment industry loves to put in their products.  Below is a picture from Rihanna’s clip. Next to it, is a zoomed view of the same picture.

The weird animal face we can see in Rihanna’s clip is not a simple goat head, it is also known as the head of baphomet.  Other artists like Rihanna have been photographed with this occult symbol.  Look at these pictures of Kanye West, Beyonce and Baphomet.

Baphomet and Lucifer in the entertainment industry

Just like Lucifer, Baphomet is a symbol used in occultism and masonry.  For those who don’t know, occult and luciferian symbolism have been present in the entertainment industry for a long time.  In the sixties and seventies, groups like Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones promoted the cult of Lucifer with songs like “Stairway to heaven” and “Sympathy for the devil”.  Later on, groups like AC/DC and many others picked up the torch t0 promote the luciferian doctrine throughout their art, their lyrics and their general behaviour.

The same worship goes on nowadays in hip hop and pop music.

Baphomet according to masonry

Now, who is this Baphomet?  What better than a quote from a masonic website named freemasonrywatch.org:

The Goat of Mendes or Baphomet whom the Templars were accused of worshipping is a Goat Headed deity, being formed of both male and female principles, with a Caduceus of Mercury for its phallus. One arm points up and one down , with the latin ‘ Solve et Coagula’ written on them. This is not the christian devil but a symbol of the ancient alchemists representing the fact that nature and natures God is a combination and balance of male and female forces, light and darkness, moisture and dryness. The very principle of Hermes Trismegitus; As Above So Below” is what is symbolized by Baphomet.

If you read my post about the double face in the rock, there’s a good chance you can now relate Baphomet with the “strange/evil face in the rock.  Also, the interpretation of the symbol relates to the same basic concept that is talked about in the above quote: duality.

The faces in Richard Stoltzman’s “Visions” illusion

I found this Richard Stoltzman picture on MoIllusions.com which is a great site with lots of  optical illusions.  I have researched on Google for the meaning of the picture but haven’t found anything.

The picture caught my attention because of the double face.  Not the one formed by the empty space and the seagull as the eye, but the smaller face, the one with horns, located on the back of the first one.

Interpretation of the faces

Now, let’s suppose the horned double face has been inserted with photoshop.  What’s the purpose?

Here’s what I think.  It’s just an interpretation and it may not be the right one but I think it’s still worth considering.

Basically, these faces symbolize duality at different levels.  The peaceful face made of air versus the dark face made of rocks.  Then, we have the eyes, black for one and white for the other.  Also, we can suppose that the “air” face represents peace while the darker face represents evil.  Based on this assumption, we could extract more meaning to this picture.  For example, we could link it to Jung’s theory of personality and say that an individual must always be aware that some evil lurks in his shadow.
